What is this? The community subpage is a quick and easy place to find all of the friends of a Treetop. On this subpage, organizational Treetop Admins can manage their friendships and assign team or admin privileges to them. In addition, users can be blocked if they are ill-willed and unconstructive.

In addition, on the community page, organizational Treetop Admins can initiate simple branding partnerships with other organizations. For instance, an Admin of a local Tapas restaurant might change the role of an employee from being a "friend" to being a "team" member so they can participate in a Private ThinkUp. Or the same Admin might ask the local Spanish radio station to be an online partner so their customers can easily switch back and forth between the partners' Treetops.

How do I do it? (Admins only)

1. Make sure that you are logged in.

2. There are two actions that you can take to manage your Treetop friends.

First, you can set a person's friend status (friend, team, admin, or block) by locating the person in the list and by scanning over to the status column and setting the status within the dropdown box. Please note that you will need to click on one of the links: Friend, Team, or Admin to find a person in the status where they currently reside. You can also sort these lists by name or by Treetop Participation Points to locate someone.

Second, you can send an email to a friend by locating the person in the list and scanning over to the email column and clicking on the envelope icon and filling in the small text box that appears. There is also an Email ALL option that is located in the column header. Please be careful to differentiate between legitimate emails and spamming your Treetop friends!

3. There are two actions that you can take to manage your Partnerships.

First, you can manage the status of existing partners by going to the list of Partners. In this view you can "dissolve" a partnership if appropriate by clicking on the Dissolve Partnership link. Remember that once you dissolve a partnership, you will not be able to send an email to this person's admin! You can also send an email to an existing partner's admin by clicking on the email icon.

Second, you look up and request possible partnerships by going to the Pending Partners view. In the box below the Find a Partner text, type in search criteria to find the organization you are thinking about. Once found, you can click on the "[Ask to Partner]" text to the right of the line to formally request a partnership. This "pending" partnership request is now moved to the top of this screen and can be managed until it is accepted or rejected.

Tips: Opt-out - If a user has the text "opted- out" in the email column of their status, please recognize that they have asked not to be emailed with system messages from your organizational Treetop. You can still email them individually but they will not receive group emails or any other notifications that are earmarked for them.
