Shop Local and Christmas in the Sqaure

Last week I had a commentary piece published in the Hingham Journal on the importance of "shopping local". As I said in the column, there is no better time to think local, be local, shop local and discover all the great downtown Hingham businesses.
Local businesses have a unique charm and feel to them that you don't get at a big-box retailer or chain. Each business owner has an opportunity to show their passion through their products and services that can create a connection with local customers. When successful, the local merchants and community can support each other to create vibrant town centers.
This weekend is a big weekend to think and shop local in Hingham. Christmas in the Square on Friday and Saturday (December 5th and 6th) is a great annual event for families to enjoy the seasons and discover the downtown businesses of Hingham. We are hoping for a great turnout and some nice weather. See you this weekend!

Great Show at St. Johns Holiday Boutique

St. John's show (this past weekend) was a great success.
There were a lot of upscale local vendors and a good variety of goods from soaps to men's clothes. We were positioned upstairs - what a warm feeling with the woodwork and natural light. Of course, the cold weather outside made it a perfect day for selling scarves, sweaters and throws!
The Mohair throws were of special interest. They're beautiful and keep you toasty warm. Thanks to everyone that stopped by.

Arda Jewelry Collection inspired by Celtic chalice
by

The Ardagh Chalice is a beautiful piece of Celtic art. It is thought to have been made in the 9th century AD and was found by boys digging in a potato field in the 1860s.
The Arda Jewelry Collection is inspired by the metalwork of the chalice and includes necklets, pendants, bracelets, rings, earrings, cufflinks, and key rings. All pieces are the perfect gift for a special occasion.

Sorcha wants YOU to be in the Conversation

Sorcha has decided to go social!
It is reported that we all live in an "experience" economy - an economy where customers want to participate in shaping the way that they interact with their favorite brands and businesses. It's said that customers are the future of innovation - and that they do, indeed, want to participate.
For us, it's more basic. We want your input into the Celtic goods and gifts that you would like for us to bring to our store here in Hingham. We want to hear your experiences, your interests, and your ideas for our products and services.
Since 2003, I've tried to bring you the best in Celtic goods. I'm looking forward to the next five. I want to invite you to join the conversation. And please invite your friends. Thanks in advance.
